Gangtok

Toy Train Ride
Darjeeling has a novel attraction in the form of a toy train ride. Cable Car Ride

These are most easily accessed by cable car rides that are available across the seven states and offer magnificent views of the lush terrain interspersed with snow-capped peaks and wide, rolling plains and fields.
Water Sports
The northeast states are laced with numerous rivers and lakes that cut through the states offering the opportunity to try the many water sport activities available. Ranging from boat rides to white-water rafting and kayaking, people can visit the Umngot lake in Dawki, the largest freshwater lake in India, the Loktak lake and the mighty Brahmaputra river! What is the best time to visit Northeast India?
The ideal time to visit the North East depends specifically on the holiday trip you wish to take. The winter months from November to April see absolutely wonderful weather, although it can get fairly cold from December to February. The summer months, mostly pleasant and fairly warm with temperatures in some places reaching about 40°C occasionally, are also a good time to visit. While the monsoon months see heavy rainfall with some chances of landslides, if you want a view of the rain-soaked hills and fields, these months are ideal. Due to the geographical location of these states, the weather year-round is mostly pleasant making this one of the few destinations that are perfect to plan your next holiday!
