Known as the Land of High Passes, Ladakh truly is one of the most enchanting places one can visit. Exploring the stunning beauty and rich culture of this region on a motorcycle expedition is an experience like no other!
This tour commences in a Volvo bus from Delhi and takes you to Manali, one of the most beautiful hill-stations in India. After getting your rides tested and with a picnic in Sethan, the real adventure begins as you cross numerous passes like Rohtang Pass, Baralacha Pass, Nakeela Pass and the Lachung La Pass to visit Tandi, Sarchu and Tso Moriri along the way.
As the journey continues, on the sixth day, you get to witness an absolutely breathtaking night sky at Hanle followed by the majestic beauty of the Pangong Lake the next day. While the eighth and ninth days are to explore the Nubra Valley, Hunder and Turtuk regions. The tenth day finds you crossing the Khardung La pass, the highest motorable pass in the world, into Leh! As you continue to traverse along river banks and visiting tiny villages, you find yourself in Kargil on the eleventh day, with the trip finally culminating in Srinagar!
This is one of the most panoramic expeditions as you meander through narrow desert valleys and negotiate snow-capped peaks, and is sure to leave you with a lasting impression and a treasure trove of memories.

Itineraries
Day 1: Delhi to Manali
Your Plan
Reach Delhi and report to the New Delhi Volvo point by 5pm. Board your AC semi-sleeper bus for an overnight journey to Manali.Day 2: Sethan - Local Bike Testing and Picnic
Your Plan
The overnight journey wakes you up in Manali early in the morning. Check into your hotel and get some rest followed by a quick orientation and tour briefing. You will then be introduced to your bikes for a test-ride as you head for a picnic to Sethan, a tiny dreamy village tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Once you return to Manali, if time permits, you can visit Mall Road for some quick shopping or spend the evening exploring the city. Back at the hotel, we will be waiting for you to celebrate with a Welcome Party (8:00 pm)! Dinner and stay for the night will be at the hotel.Day 3: Manali to Tandi via Rohtang Pass

Today, post breakfast, you embark on the real adventure! Enroute Tandi, you will witness some spectacular views of the valleys and mountains as you head towards Rohtang Pass - the Gateway to Lahaul and Spiti Valley*! This pass, featured in several Bollywood films like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Jab We Met owing to its charisma, is sure to leave you spellbound. Going forward, you pass Khoksar, a village on the banks of the Chandra river before you reach Tandi. Tandi itself, offers a picturesque view of the confluence between the Chandra and Bhaga rivers and also has the last gas station on the Manali-Leh highway. Dinner and stay for the night is at our campsite in Tandi. *Kindly note, we will not be going to Spiti Valley during this Tour.Day 4: Tandi to Sarchu

After breakfast, you will begin your journey towards Sarchu - one of the most sought-after destinations among adventure seekers! Along the way, you will cross the acclaimed Baralacha Pass, situated at an altitude of 16,040 feet which connects the two most prominent mountain ranges, Pir Panjal and Zanskar valley besides the Great Himalayas. Your expedition to Sarchu, located on the border of the union territory of Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh is sure to be a memorable one! Dinner and stay for the night will be at our campsite in Sarchu.Day 5: Sarchu to Tso Moriri

After breakfast, you set off on yet another exhilarating journey to Tso Moriri. Along the course of the journey, you will pass the famous 21 hair-pin bends - Gata Loops followed by traversing through Nakeela Pass and the Lachung La Pass to finally reach Tso Moriri. Tso Moriri lake, approximately 28 km long, encompassed by barren hills and set against a backdrop of magnificent snow-covered mountains, is one of the most serene high-altitude lakes in India. Spend some tranquil moments by the lake in the crisp evening chill before heading to our campsite in Tso Moriri for dinner and overnight stay.Day 6: Tso Moriri to Hanle

You depart from Tso Moriri after breakfast and head for Hanle, a tiny village that has a population of a mere 200 families! In addition to the stunning landscapes that you get to see, this 150 km journey will also pass three amazing lakes namely Sumdo, Nyoma and Loma before you arrive at your destination. Having been opened for tourism only recently, Hanle is known for its stunning view of the night sky and is home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory, the second largest in the world. Dinner and stay for the night will be at a homestay.Day 7: Hanle to Pangong Tso

The route from Hanle to Pangong Tso is via Chushul. This route covers many small villages and remote areas and crosses Loma, Tsaga Village, Merak and Man along the way before you reach your destination for the day - Pangong Tso. Situated at a height of 4350 metres above sea level, this is the world’s highest saltwater lake and is one of the best attractions in Ladakh. Its crystal clear waters are sure to inspire at least a few photography sessions. Dinner and stay for the night will be at our campsite.Day 8: Pangong Tso to Nubra Valley

Begin your day by catching the sight of the breathtaking sunrise over the Pangong lake. Post breakfast, you depart for Nubra Valley along the Shyok Valley of the Shyok river - one of the least travelled routes! This is a seldom selected route and is popularly known as the river of death owing to how difficult it is. You reach Nubra Valley by late afternoon giving you a chance to enjoy the sand dunes in the cold desert of Hunder followed by a camel ride* on the two-humped bactrian camels available in the evening. Dinner and stay for the night will be at our campsite in Nubra Valley. *Kindly note that the camel ride is optional and the cost for the same is not included in the package.Day 9: Turtuk

This morning, you leave for the last village on the Indo-Pak border - Turtuk. Your ride today will take you through magnificent mountains, exhibiting different hues at every turn. Spend the day exploring the village and its rich history before heading back to Nubra. *Kindly note, travel to Turtuk will depend on the weather and the condition of the roads. Dinner and stay for the night will be at the hotel in Nubra.Day 10: Nubra Valley to Leh via Khardung La Pass

Gear up for the most adventurous excursion of the trip - Nubra to Leh via Khardung La - one of the highest motorable passes in the world! Following breakfast, you will first visit the Diskit Monastery - the oldest and largest monastery in Nubra and then an off-road thrill experience on an ATV in the desert*. Next, you will cross the sensational Khardung La Pass, situated at an altitude of 18,379 ft above the sea level! You will then travel along North Pullu and Khardung village with a halt at North Pullu for lunch and continue towards South Pullu to reach Leh by evening. If time permits, you can go shopping that evening. Dinner and stay for the night will be at the hotel in Leh. *ATV is optional. Cost for the same is not included in the package.Day 11: Enroute Kargil

Get ready to experience one of the most panoramic expeditions of the tour. Your first stop will be at the Lamayuru monastery - the oldest and largest monastery in Ladakh. Lamayuru, a quaint village is stylized as Moonscape for the moonlike landscapes carved into the Himalayan Mountains. Thereafter, you will be riding through Fotu La, the highest pass on the Srinagar-Leh highway located at a height of 13478 feet. Next comes the Namik La pass, the last pass along the way to Mulbek Valley where one can see the rock carvings of Maitreya Buddha. Finally, you enter the Kargil region by late evening. Dinner and stay for the night will be at the hotel in Kargil.Day 12: Kargil to Srinagar

The penultimate day of the tour is an experience in itself. Post breakfast, on the way to Sonmarg, you will be crossing Drass - the second coldest, inhabited place in the world! Here, in extreme conditions, the temperature dips to a bone-chilling -60°C. You can visit the Drass War Memorial while here, a commemorative memorial for the brave soldiers and officers that laid down their lives during the Kargil War of 1999. Also, behold the stunning views of the Tololing peak and Tiger Hill, the highest peak in Kargil. Post lunch, continue your journey across the Zoji La Pass, the second highest pass in Kargil after Fotu La pass to reach Sonmarg*. Next, head towards Srinagar to experience the beautiful Shikara ride at Dal Lake and enjoy your stay in a houseboat for the night! *Kindly note that the bike-expedition is till Sonmarg only.Day 13: Departure
